UNICEF is supporting the children of Ukraine by providing access to safe water, nutrition, hygiene, health care, psychological care, education, and protection. Atlantic employees show their support for the UNICEF initiative by donating funds to the cause.
UNICEF has been in Ukraine since 2014, addressing the impacts of conflict in the eastern region on children. Operations are increasing across the country since war broke out Feb. 24, 2022. Schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure are frequent targets of attacks limiting access to essential services. UNICEF has been providing critical support to Ukraine’s health system by delivering essential medicines, midwifery kits, surgical kits, and other lifesaving supplies to health facilities since the war’s start.
On March 3, 2022, Atlantic began a relief fund campaign to assist UNICEF in its aid of Ukrainian children as a part of its goal to continually promote a sustainable workforce and cultivate a strong internal culture. Atlantic promotes several company-wide programs, such as our wellness program, that advance our culture of health, sustainability, and productivity. The business also conducts on-demand initiatives in response to emergencies and current events. Atlantic Employees across North America and Central America generously made donations to the initiative to support Ukrainian children. On the final day of the campaign, March 18, 2022, the business made a matching donation to its employee contributions resulting in a donation of $36,100.10.
