We’re establishing strong relationships with leaders in business, government, and conservation as a member of Sustain SC’s Corporate Membership Network.
Sustain SC is a think tank that promotes sustainable business practices and investments in South Carolina. The organization does this through connecting businesses and local stakeholders, educating leaders across South Carolina, and promoting research that supports economic growth and conservation.
Ethel Bunch, President and CEO of Sustain SC, invited Atlantic, the most technical resource in sustainable packaging, to the network due to our expansive programs for efficiency and circularity in packaging. Atlantic is a proud resident of the Palmetto State with locations in Charleston and Summerville.
We’re featured on Sustain SC’s Insight Blog as a sustainability success story and Wes Carter, Atlantic’s President, was a guest speaker at Sustain SC’s inaugural Sustainability Summit in April. The event brought sustainability leaders from South Carolina-based companies together with leaders from statewide government, conservation and business.
“What Ethel has done is remarkable to me. I was blown away at her ability to get those people in the same room – all high-level, C-suite, people of influence. That’s when you can really get things going,” Wes said. “Real change happens at the local level and at the end of the day it’s going to be up to business leaders and the states to set the example. Federal government will follow.”
Sustain SC isn’t just making a positive impact on South Carolina’s business community. It’s taking action to inspire sustainable business changes that will benefit ecosystems for generations to come.
