Sustainability Director Caroline James Demands EPR Legislation

Extended producer responsibility (EPR) laws are necessary for achieving a circular economy. Caroline James supports regulating the packaging industry to create a more sustainable future.

EPR laws place the responsibility of packaging’s end of life back on the producer of that packaging. This means corporations are responsible for footing the bill for the cost of packaging collection and recycling, instead of the general public.

Sustainability Director Caroline James shares her thoughts on the necessity of EPR laws for packaging in her new GreenBiz Group piece. GreenBiz Group is a media and events company that aims to assist in transitioning the world to a clean economy through informing audiences about business, technology, and sustainability.
