October is not only a month of orange, it is the month when people and organizations focus on pink and the ongoing efforts to eradicate breast cancer.
Across the country, everyone shows their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. At Atlantic, that commitment runs deep.
Pink Impacts Everyone
More than 40 years ago, we lost Lucile Carter, wife of Atlantic’s founder Horace Carter, to breast cancer. Since then, many Atlantic employees, friends, and families have bravely faced the disease. That’s why we’ve committed ourselves to supporting the science that could lead to a cure.
The Pink Stretch Film Program
Nearly 20 years ago, we launched our Pink Stretch Film initiative, a simple but powerful way to contribute. For every sale of Pink Hand Film, Atlantic donates:
• $1.00 per case
• $15.00 per pallet
These funds go directly to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of America’s leading institutions for cancer research.
Impact by the Numbers
• This year alone: $85,695 raised
• That’s a 20% increase from last year
• Total contributions: Over $1.4 million
Each participating customer receives an annual letter showing their direct impact, like the one we recently sent to Viola and her team.
Thank You
We’re proud of our team, our customers, and our sales reps who continue to grow this program year after year.
